MANAGING YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM IN TRYING TIMES

Our self care is more vital than ever! We must to find effective ways to manage our anxiety and stress, especially now when we are so often bombarded.  It's also important to connect with each other for comfort and solidarity and we need to be able to do this without further depleting one another.  

This class is offered on a one on one basis, or in small groups (no more than 5 people at a time).

We will explore:

​ How our nervous systems function (sympathetic, parasympathetic, social)

How to recognize anxiety in your body (and what to do about it)

Management Techniques:  Somatic Movement
                                                  Finding your breath
                                                  Meditation/watching your thoughts
                                                  Aromatherapy
                                                  Boundaries

This is going to be an experiential class. Wear comfortable clothing. Some bolsters and cushions will be provided but if you have a blanket or something you like to sit on, bring it along. You'll be invited to write about your experiences as we move through each technique so please bring a journal of some sort. Sharing with the group is entirely up to you. Don't feel obligated to do anything that makes you uncomfortable!
